REPORTING LINE: SENIOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER WILL REPORT TO PRINCIPAL COMPLIANCE OFFICER
POSITIONS: TWO (2)
JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Compliance Officer will be responsible for playing a critical role in enhancing the monitoring and inspection of sites to ensure regulatory compliance and taking appropriate enforcement actions in cases of non-compliance.
JOB AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
a) Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:-
Prepare reports on compliance and enforcement to the Engineers Act, 2011;
Disseminate compliance reports with relevant regulatory and law enforcement agencies for follow up;
Report violations of compliance or engineering standards to law enforcement agencies as appropriate or when required;
Participate in the inspections to ensure compliance to the Act and applicable engineering standards;
Assist in the design, implementation of monitoring and evaluation programs on the enforcement and compliance to the Engineers Act, 2011;
Assist in the verification that all the directorates policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, communicated and complied with;
Implementation of the section work plan; and
Develop and maintain an up to date register on compliance violations.
b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-
Have at least four (4) years relevant work experience.
Have Bachelors degree in Engineering from a recognized university;
Professional Engineer, Registered by the Board and of good standing;
Supervisory Course for at least two (2) weeks.
c) Key Competencies and skills
For consideration to the position, the candidate must demonstrate that they have:

The positions are on Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Service.

CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION
i. Successful candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and will therefore be required to provide the following documents;
· Clearance certificates from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB),
· Valid Tax Compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA),
· Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations ;
· Clearance certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB);
· Clearance from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission.
ii. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
