FILM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER-CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION (JOB GRADE KFC
6)-JOB REF NO: KFC/HRA/FDO-CA/2021- 2 POST
(a) Job Purpose
The Film Development Officers are responsible for spearheading capacity development and developing
incentives to enhance the growth of the film industry.
The officer will be reporting to Principal Certification and Accreditation Officer and will be responsible for:
i. Receiving and documenting Certification and Accreditation documents;
ii. Maintaining a data base of certified persons, associations and organizations participating in the
production of film, photography, video, stills, animation, new media and related media;
iii. Taking part in the implementation of certification and accreditation programmes aimed at
organizing the film industry;
iv. Preparing research tools; and
v. Collecting and collating data on customers and suppliers on activities impacting/affecting film
production issues.
(b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:- Film and Theatre Arts, Film Production, Drama and
Theatres Studies, Performing Arts and Film Technology, Communication, Business Administration or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Proficiency in Computer applications; and
iii. Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
INTEGRITY CLEARANCE:
In addition to the qualifications set above, shortlisted candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance
certificates/letters of good standing from the following;
1. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
2. Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
3. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
4. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
5. Credit Bureau Reference.
TERMS OF SERVICE
An attractive remunerative package, commensurate to qualifications, experience and responsibilities and in
line with government guidelines will be offered to the successful applicant. The appointment is on a permanent
and pensionable terms.
