JOB SUMMARY
The sales & Marketing Executive will be tasked with the role of identifying new business, improving the company’s market position and achieving financial growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sales and Marketing
• Analyze the current customer base, including portfolios and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Research and identify the needs of corporates and customize packages best suited for them.
• Ability to differentiate the company’s product offerings and to promote sales.
• Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
• Collaborate with colleagues and peers on the product development team to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction.
• Stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions.
• Recognize and capitalize on potential opportunities to increase service offering and/or budget.
• Schedule and guide weekly, monthly or quarterly business reviews on the account(s) as needed.
• Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively conveying a compelling value proposition to existing and potential clients.
• Researching, exploiting, assessing and converting new business opportunities.
• Implementing service quality, customer excellence and change initiatives to achieve required business performance and culture.
• Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing Sales Options.
• Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending software solutions.
• Create a client database through various online platforms and identify key prospects in the organization.
• Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge; review professional publications; establish personal networks; benchmark state-of-the-art practices; participate in professional societies.
• Any other duty that may be assigned to you.
PROFIT AND LOSS RESPONSIBILITY
• Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent salesmanship.
• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing quotations to customers.
• Controlling credit and ensuring debtors pay on time.
• Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
• Create monthly reports on sales done and projections for the next month.
• Working with relevant departments where necessary, and providing corporate inter-office support.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• A Diploma / Bachelor’s degree holder in Business related discipline or equivalent from a recognized college.
• Minimum three (5) years of experience in a similar role/ Software solutions company.
• Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• At least 3 years experience in the same capacity / or relationship management.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Knowledge and experience in IT and software systems will be an added advantage.
