Job Description

Role purpose:
The position holder will be responsible for initiating, facilitating, coordinating and maintaining the development of Strategic relationships and partnerships with our clients, contracted employees and other relevant stakeholders in order to meet our business objectives. The account manager will be in charge of customer on-boarding, customer retention and customer relationship management.
Reporting to the managing director, the position holder will be expected to handle grant proposals, locking in partners and organizational treasury management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and propose potential business deals by visiting, contacting existing and potential clients.
• Gather and distil client and market insights, monitor market trends and feedback and share proposals on the same to the management team in a timely manner.
• The position holder will be responsible for building healthy relationships with Clients
• Carry out Know Your Customer checks and fully understand the customer business, including dormant accounts re-activation and ensuring profitability.
• Negotiating funding arrangements including corporate credit facilities, public and private financing arrangements.
• Reporting variances and explain them between forecast and actual cash flow to measure level of forecasting accuracy.
• Helping the Business formulate Strategy from a Technology perspective, and then driving delivery of the same strategy through cross functional teams.
• Proactively identify improvement initiatives that will help in grievances reduction and business scaling
• Liaise with senior leadership to review service impact and experience

Skill & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, IT, Telecommunication, Engineering or Business-related field.
• Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent is an added advantage
• Strong business acumen and mindset
• Good and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing
• At least 5 years ‘experience in account management or IT delivery, preferably in the fintech industry, Telecommunications, IT, financial services sector or similar industries.
• At Least 3 years management experience which must include 1 years of experience in Project Management, Business Engagement, Business Analysis or Systems design.
• Certification in Agile Project Management will be an added advantage
• Team player who is skilled at building up and managing stakeholder relationships successfully
• Ability to persuade stakeholders and champion effective techniques through engagement
• Ability to drive initiatives without any formal authority in an ambiguous environment
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the stakeholder, Support in identification of risks, dependencies, and impediments, to facilitate finding solutions, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders, and channeling a clear escalation matrix where necessary to ensure resolution.
