Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technologist – Job Grade
KUTRRH 12, Ref. V/FT/22/2024 (2 Positions)
Job Purpose: Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning Technologist (HVAC) will be responsible for
the installation, maintenance, repair, inspection and monitoring of heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning (HVAC) as well as refrigeration equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning units.
• Troubleshoots, maintains, inspects, and repairs, HVAC systems, Air conditioning and
Refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Carrying out breakdown and preventive maintenance activities on HVAC and Refrigeration
systems.
• Monitoring HVAC systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating the
condition of the systems that guide on requisite maintenance and repairs.
• Preparing report on preventive, planned and breakdown maintenance of HVAC and
Refrigeration systems.
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
i. Diploma in Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning or equivalent from a recognized
institution.
ii. At least one (1) year relevant work experience.
iii. Knowledgeable in health and safety procedures.
iv. Proficiency in computer applications.
v. Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
