NOTE: Only qualified ECDE teachers from the respective ECDE Centers should apply
Requirements for appointments
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen
ii. Be a holder of at least a certificate in ECDE training from a recognized institution.
iii. Teaching experience of not less than two (2) years in a pre-school unit.
iv. Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Duties and Responsibilities
The ECDE teacher shall be responsible to the Head teacher:-
i) Offering teaching services in Early Childhood Development Education.
ii) Preparation of Schemes of Work and Lesson Plans as per competence based curriculum.
iii) Maintenance of pupil’s records.
iv) Advising parents and guardians on pupils’ competences and development.
v) Ensure the safety and security of pupils while in school.
vi) Prompt monthly submission of returns to respective ward supervisors.
vii) Any other duties as may be assigned.
