Mandatory Requirements for Appointment
1. Be a Kenyan citizen;
2. Be a holder of at least a Form Four Certificate KCSE D+ or KCE Division III;
3. Be a holder of at least a Post-Secondary qualification obtained after undergoing relevant training of not less than 6 months;
4. Have three(3) years’ experience in a supervisory position in the public or private sector; and
5. Have knowledge in administration, management and community Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Ward Administrator, the Village Administrator will be responsible for:
1. Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the village unit;
2. Generating proposals to assist in developing policies and plans;
3. Ensuring effective service delivery;
4. Coordinating development activities to empower the community;
5. Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of public service;
6. Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies and service delivery;
7. Exercising any functions and power delegated by the County Public Service Board under section 86 of the County Governments Act 2012; and
• Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
