Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to the county department for finance and economic
planning and other key stakeholders on economic planning issues.
- Supervise officers in his/her division and monitor projects across the department;
- Present findings through original published reports, articles, presentations, and other
documentation on economic development for the county;
- Collaborate with public and private entities to acquire new data, assist in the
development of data gathering tools including surveys and questionnaires,
acquisition of administrative data sets, and compilation of data from various data
sources for use in research and statistical analysis;
- Apply knowledge of research methods and design in the social and behavioural
sciences to create innovative, routine, and complex research studies without
supervision;
- Collect and present statistical data in form of survey reports and bulletin to inform
the public on economic;
- Assist in budget preparation.
Requirements for appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen;
- Degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or related field from a recognized
University;
- A master degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage;
- Have relevant knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than Five
(5) years from public or Private Sector;
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of relevant legislations such as County Government Act,2012 and the
Statistics Act 2006;
- Be registered with the relevant body and in good standing;
- Knowledge in use of Participatory M&E Tools;
- Satisfies requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership
and Integrity.
