POSITION: DIRECTOR ENFORCEMENT JOB GROUP CPSB 03
Number of Posts: One (1) Post
Terms of Service: Four (4) Years Contract
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Duties and responsibilities
1. Answerable to the county chief officer in charge of devolution, public service and
administration;
2. Identify all areas that require Enforcement of National and County laws and regulations
as outlined under schedule four of the constitution of Kenya;
3. Develop Security and enforcement programmes within the county;
4. Administrative and Operational activities within the county
5. Ensure coordination and good working relationship with other National and county
agencies in all security and enforcement matters and during disasters;
6. Develop frequent programs and inspection on regulated activities to ensure compliance
within the county;
7. Analyze data for input in the development and review of policies, guidelines, procedures
and strategies;
8. Implement all strategies on matters of security and enforcement; and,
9. Supervision, guidance, development and mentoring of staff in the county.
Requirements for Appointment:
1. First degree in the relevant field from a recognized university;
2. Served in the grade of Inspector of police or in comparable and relevant position in the
public service for a minimum period of three (3) years and demonstrated exemplary
service in the period of the service; and,
3. Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results.
