ASSISTANT MANAGER RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE, JOB GRADE
KDC 4 (1 Post)
a) Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager Risk Management and Compliance will be responsible for implementation
of the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework to ensure a proactive risk management
philosophy that safeguards the Corporation’s assets.
b) Job Specification
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Implementing the Enterprise Risk Management policies and Enterprise Risk
Management Framework;
ii. Monitor implementation of intervention programs to address the Corporation’s
adherence to Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI)
prudential guidelines;
iii. Undertake proper analysis of risk and compliance;
iv. Implementing effective risk appraisal and measurement tools;
v. Reviewing all applications for credit/investment so as to identify, measure and mitigate
risk;
vi. Preparing quality risk reports;
vii. Ensuring proper maintenance of risk and compliance culture within the Corporation;
viii. Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the
Corporation;
ix. Carrying out quarterly assessments for compliance and risk assessment at the
Corporation.
c) Person Specifications
i. At least eight (8) years’ relevant work experience, four (4) of which must have been in a
supervisory role;
ii. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Business or equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution;
iii. Master’s degree in a relevant field of study from a recognized Institution;
iv. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
