Our client specialises in the sale of mobile devices on credit in partnership with Asset Finance FinTech companies in Kenya. In line with their expansion strategy, they have new opportunities for commission-based field-based Sales & Marketing Agents within Nairobi County.
They are seeking to hire Field Sales & Marketing Agents (FSMA) who will be executing their role in the marketplace by engaging in face-to-face interactions with clients or customers. The agent’s primary responsibility is to create product awareness in the market, generate new leads, build strong relationships with customers, and increase sales volume for the mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, as well as generating new leads and closing sales. They will be tasked to:
• Identify and pursue new sales leads in your assigned territory
• Collect contact details from potential clients to build the sales pipeline
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Educate and demonstrate the mobile device use to potential customers
• Negotiate, process and close device sales by onboarding clients through the provided tech platform
• Gather and regularly report on market intelligence and customer feedback to the company
• Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
• Educate clients on the device’s loan repayment plan
• Conduct due diligence to determine good clients who can buy the device(s) on loan
Field Agents will also be required to:
• Attend all training organised by the company to help them stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and effective operations
• Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas
Key Qualifications
• Certificate/Diploma/Degree holder in any field of education
• Minimum of 1-year sales experience
• Confident with excellent communication and negotiation skills – can speak fluent English and Kiswahili
• Open and curious to learn with an outgoing personality
• Strong customer service focus
• Self-driven with the ability to work both as an individual and in a team
• Proactive, reliable, honest and sales-oriented person
• Ability to use basic self-guided sales tech platform
• Strong desire to win and achieve set goals
• All interested candidates must be in possession of a functioning smartphone
• All interested candidates must be physically fit since the role involves lots of walking
• This role is open to Nairobi County thus applicant leaving within Nairobi are encouraged to apply
