Job Summary
The Social Media Administrator shall serve as the brains behind an organization’s social media platforms. He/She shall write and curate content designed to engage followers by planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the company’s Social Media strategy for increased brand awareness, Improved Marketing efforts and increased sales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, create, and place content for the company’s social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as part of an internal marketing team.
• Work with the Producer about content development, topics, and opportunities.
• Manage keywords and search engine optimization (SEO), track statistics and analytics.
• Manage online social media messaging and conversations.
• Stay knowledgeable about industry developments and trends including design methods, software, Media specifics and applicable rules and regulations.
• Monitor, capture and share internet-activity regularly.
• Plan and schedule social media content for long and short-term objectives.
• Help develop visual content for images, pins, video and messaging.
• Research and recommend trends, social channels and influencers.
• Carry out assignments and meet deadlines.
• Energize Sussex Media social media presence.
• Manage, lead, and update social media.
• Participate in design and graphics for social media and websites.
• Assist in maintaining a library of search terms (keywords) and related analysis for search engine optimization and targeted advertising.
• Participate in managing Sussex Media website to identify enhancement opportunities, refinements and improvements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Media Marketing & Business Management.
• 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Fluent in English and Kikuyu Language oral and written with the ability to translate the same.
Skills & Abilities
• Strong in Kikuyu language communication with good oral, written skills for a Kikuyu station, including proofing and editing.
• Proficient knowledge of graphic software including the components of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media scheduling software such as Sendible.
• Ability to provide an opinion and explanation, receive critique, coordinate messaging, and create design balancing multiple dynamics.
• An openness and willingness to learn and share.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ethical standards.
• Advanced social media knowledge with a grasp of current issues.
