Job Description
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, GENERAL ADMINISTRATION, KNEC GRADE 4 (1 POST)
(a) Job Specifications
(i) Providing administrative support to all Council activities;
(ii) Coordinating the day-to-day administrative activities of the Council;
(iii) Maintaining and updating records of all the assets of the Council;
(iv) Coordinating the management of Council facilities and equipment;
(v) Preparing and implementing a maintenance program for all Council assets;
(vi) Ensuring proper and safe work environment for Council staff;
(vii) Coordinating the provision of outsourced administrative services;
(viii) Ensuring implementation of QMS, Risk Management, development of work plans,
budgets and reports.
(b) Person Specifications
(i) At least ten (10) years cumulative relevant work experience, three (3) of which
should have served at management level;
(ii) Masters Degree or its equivalent qualifications in any of the following fields:
Business Management, Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, Human
Resource Management, from a recognized Institution;
(iii) Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Business Management, Public
Administration, Human Resources Management, Finance, Commerce, or
relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(iv) Membership to a professional body;
(v) Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
institution;
(vi) Demonstrated merit in work performance;
(vii) Proficiency in computer application.
