In line with the global focus on renewable and sustainable energy, the company is scaling up its portfolio into the battery storage solution at the core of renewable energy and e-mobility solutions. Its focus is to continue to provide battery solutions into the next generation of energy products and services and be a critical player in the region's fight against climate change. To achieve this, Eveready E.A. PLC is looking for a competent Managing Director to deliver on its strategy.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Board of directors, the successful candidate will oversee business operations and provide strategic leadership. The managing director's responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans and company policies, maintaining open dialogue with stakeholders and driving organizational success. He/she will be required to advance business strategic objectives.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with the Board to set direction in terms of mission, vision and strategy.
• Engage the Board, connect with stakeholders, manage personal effectiveness, mobilize through leaders and align the organization in terms of culture, structure and talent.
• Be responsible for the communication and execution of Board strategy, decisions and policies.
• Enhancing Eveready E.A. PLC's profile at global events and trade fairs while remaining engaged with local business community.
• Prepare annual budgets and establish proper internal controls.
• Develop and recommend to the Board annual business plans for the company.
• Put in place effective administrative structures, processes, systems and procedures.
• Effectively play the role of the company's Accounting Officer by ensuring optimum resource allocation and utilization.
Job Specifications:
The successful candidate MUST have the following minimum qualifications:
• A minimum of twelve (12) years' relevant work experience, four (4) years of which must be in Senior Management.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Energy, Finance or any other relevant field from a recognized University.
• Master's degree in Economics, Business, Energy, Finance or any other relevant field from a recognized University.
• A professional qualification and membership to a professional body in good standing.
• Be familiar with financial and investment models especially in e-mobility and carbon credit monetization ecosystem.
• Have in depth knowledge of Value for Money and Economic Analysis for Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
• Experience in climate-change-driven Renewable Energy solutions.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategy and business plans.
• Possess excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and presentation skills.
• Have strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to excel in high-pressure situations and navigate uncertainty skillfully.
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Have superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills,
• Have a broad appreciation and understanding of energy regulatory ecosystem.
