SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER – JOB REF: MN 8277 Full Time
Our client is a leading textile manufacturing company in the East African region. They wish to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Services and is expected to provide leadership of the Sales & Marketing division, market & grow the Company’s brand including products and services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing and reviewing sales and marketing policies, plans and strategies;
• Coordinating the implementation of sales and marketing plans and strategies for the company;
• Marketing and promoting the Company’s products;
• Coordinating market surveys to determine customer requirements;
• Identifying potential markets for the Company’s products and recommend appropriate mechanisms and initiative to enhance sales increase;
• Forecasting and projecting company’s business;
• Developing sales and marketing information communication materials;
• Initiating the development of sales and marketing information systems;
• Developing new products in liaison with the Production Department;
• Providing advice on sales and marketing initiatives;
• Monitoring and evaluating sales and marketing activities;
• Coordinating sales and marketing research and benchmarks and implement the appropriate findings;
• Promoting innovation and best practices in sales and marketing;
• Conducting market audits to monitor market sales and performance;
• Branding company’s products in liaison with other divisions;
• Management of customer requirements and needs and implement the feedback;
• Maintaining sales and marketing inventory and database;
• Participating in corporate social responsibility activities;
• Coaching, mentoring and training staff;
• Preparing sales and marketing budget and sales reports;
• Ensuring staff performance management, training and development in the division.
PERSON PROFILE
Academic Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Sales and Marketing, Marketing, Commerce (Marketing Option), Business Administration/ Management (Marketing Option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
• A Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Sales and Marketing, Marketing, Commerce (Marketing Option), Business Administration/ Management (Marketing Option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university, will be an added advantage.
• Must have at least eight (8) years Cumulative work experience in textiles, three (3) of which should have been at Managerial level in a reputable organization or Served in the grade of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer in textiles for a minimum period of three (3) years or equivalent;
• Must be a member of a professional body and in good standing.
• Certificate in Leadership/ Governance Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in computer application skills; and
• Understands international textile markets & competence in merchandising as reflected in work performance and results.
