Reports to: Senior Records Officer
Purpose Of The Job
The Records Officer assists the Stu Records Officer in managing the SACCO records for prompt decision making process.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Implements records management policy and manual systems.
• Implements electronic records systems.
• Assists in the implementation of record retention and disposal schedules.
• Participates in the daily records storage and retrieval process.
• Responsible for creating new files and filing process
• Participates in the scanning and indexing of records.
• Responsible for receipt and distribution of incoming mails.
• Responsible for data clean up in DMS and core system
• Coordinates the tracking of SACCO records
• Archives documents and records as the archive policy for ease of retrieval
• Suggesting and proposing budget in line with proposed registry plans.
• Opening files for new members.
• Performs any other duty as assigned from time to time
Experience
2 years' experience in Records and Archives management
Academic Qualification
Bachelor's Degree Achieves and Records management
Professional Qualification
• Certificate in Records Management
