Job Description

Sport-pesa is seeking to hire a competent bookmaker for their organisation

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assign daily tasks to traders and monitor performance.
• Set high performance standards.
• Manage the performance of the trading team against agreed KPI’s as individuals and as a team to ensure adherence and achievement.
• Identify training and development requirements.
• Ensure compliance to laid down policies and manage any disciplinary issues.
• Provide effective management of all escalated issues and continuous improvement of business processes.
• Make the call on cancellation/resettlement or any other abnormal event that arises from normal trading activities.
• Assist and guide on any department related matters to the trading team.
• Generate daily and weekly (and other periodical reports) reports for timely and effective business decisions.
• Constantly test and challenge existing processes, driving product quality and process efficiency.
• Prioritise the competitiveness of our Sportsbook product against key competitors.
• Carry out assigned operational and administration duties as may be assigned by the Global Head of Trading.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (Mathematics. Statistics, Physics. Economics. Engineering)
• At least 3 to 4 years working in a bookmaker position at a sportsbook Company
• Good communication skills and high level of numeracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Excel and other analytical tools
• Strong attention to detail: Diligent and applies a thoroughness and thoughtful approach to tasks with the aim to provide quality results in a short time.
• Flexible – available to work outside of the standard 9am-6pm window
