About the Company
Malindi Water and Sewerage Company Ltd (MAWASCO), was established in 2005 Under the Kenya Companies Act Chapter 486 as a public water utility Company. The Company is wholly owned by the County Government of Kilifi and regulated by Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB). MAWASCO's mandate is to provide clean and safe drinking water and sanitation services to its customers in Malindi, Magarini and part of Kilifi North Sub-counties.

Job Summary
The Company is seeking to recruit a self-driven individual for the position of Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and will oversee and coordinate the procurement function to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods, services and works within the confines of the Law and the Company's regulations

Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Formulate and implement the company's annual work plan and budget as per the procurement strategy
2. Ensure the company's procurements and disposals are conducted in compliance with the
3. Public Procurement Asset & Disposal Act 2015 and Public Procurement & Asset Disposal Regulations 2020;
4. Procure goods, services and works for effective and efficient operations
5. Approve requisitions for quotations or tenders to prequalified suppliers or the public
6. Provide technical advice and Professional Opinion to the Accounting Officer

Requirements
1. Be a holder of Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Procurement or relevant field.
2. Diploma in Supply Chain management, Procurement and Contract management, Purchasing and Supplies or equivalent
3. A postgraduate qualification in related field will be an added advantage:
4. Hold a relevant professional qualification/Membership of KISM/CIPS/Institute of Purchasing & Supplies and in good standing:
5. Have at least 8 years relevant work experience with a Public Institution, five (5) of which must be in a Senior Management position;
6. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, by providing:-
a) Certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal investigations (DCI)
b) Clearance certificate from accredited credit reference bureau (CRB)
c) Clearance certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
d) Valid Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
e) Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

Terms and Conditions of Service
The position of the Procurement Manager will be on a Five (5) year contract renewable, subject to satisfactory performance.
