Head of Operations (Ref: HO/11/23)
Reporting to the CEO the Head of Operations will Step into the shoes of the CEO as their deputy, spearheading the operations across diverse departments including FOSA, Marketing & Business Development, Loan Processing, Human Resource & Administration. This role is a blend of strategy and action, demanding the effective implementation of operational policies and controls.
Engagement Terms: Three-year contract, with renewal possibilities shining bright based on your stellar performance.
Key Adventures and Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Policy Alchemy:
• Act as the CEO’s right hand, particularly when they are away, handling delegated societal operations with finesse.
• Commandeer Marketing, Customer Service, Loan Processing, and HR & Administration units.
• Partner with the CEO in crafting and deploying SACCO strategies.
• Champion the efficient execution of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Innovate effective marketing strategies to elevate Society’s products and services.
• Ensure the smooth sailing of credit policies and procedures.
• Business Development and Customer Odyssey:
• Elevate corporate image and brand visibility.
• Lead the charge in product development and service enhancement.
• Identify and seize lucrative market opportunities.
• Human Resources, Administration, and People Mastery:
• Orchestrate human resource strategies, from planning to discipline.
• Cultivate a thriving work environment through training and development.
• Risk Management and Compliance Vigilance:
• Uphold strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and institutional frameworks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a kindred field.
• Professional: CPA-K/ACCA/ACA/CFA, ideally a luminous member of a relevant professional body.
Experience: At least 8 years, with a minimum of 5 years in a commanding management role.
Skills & Competencies:
Market knowledge, leadership, ERP expertise, and an abundance of technical and behavioral skills.
