POSITION: SENIOR DRAUGHTSMAN (JSG 7)

Gross Salary Scale : Kshs. 83,300 – 106,400 p.m.
Job Purpose:
The job holder will be responsible for creating technical drawings and other relevant documents based on given specifications and calculations.
Reporting Responsibilities
The job holder is responsible to the designated supervisor
Area of Deployment:
Department of Building Services
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Preparing draft technical drawings according to the given specifications;
ii. Detailing of architectural and engineering plans;
iii. Translating the architect and engineers rough sketches;
iv. Carryout site measurements to allow designs to be done and drawings production;
v. Indicating dimensions and materials for new or existing structures being modified;
vi. Preparing multiple versions of designs for review;
vii. Compiling data and specifications sheets;
viii. Revising drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements; and
ix. Incorporating safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawing.
Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
i. A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Architectural/Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
ii. Registered with a relevant recognized professional body;
iii. Proficiency in computer applications; and
iv. Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience.

• Clearance from relevant professional body.
