In line with enhancing career progression of staff and to support business growth, we seek to recruit a qualified, experienced, self-driven, highly motivated and passionate candidate to fill the following position in Operations Department.
The position
Reporting to the Business Growth and Development Manager, the ideal candidate’s key duties and responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Accurately dispensing and receiving physical cash and other financial instruments including foreign currency.
• Ensuring 100% compliance to the Bank’s policies and procedures on cash management.
• Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and completeness of customer’s cash and non-cash transactions.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained as the first contact person between the Bank and customers.
• Ensuring strong adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) policy and CBK prudential guidelines.
• Ensuring that all transaction records are kept meticulously and in accordance with bank procedures.
• Promoting SME and Corporate sales through customer interactions by proactively identifying specific product and service needs and referring the same accordingly.
• Ensuring risk management in corporate branch is maintained and any issues are escalated accordingly.
Qualifications
• At least an O-Level pass of C+ with a Diploma and/or Degree certificate in a business related field.
• Holders of relevant professional qualifications will have an added advantage.
• At least 2 years working experience in the Bank, including 1 year as a serving cashier.
• Experience in back office, clearing and account opening processes.
• Satisfactory individual teller productivity performance in line with targets.
• Good knowledge of overall branch operations, front office and back office roles.
• Computer proficiency; including strong keyboard skills.
• Relevant experience with the key bank operating systems required.
• Marketing experience with Corporate customers.
Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of Bank’s Policies & Procedures.
• Good knowledge of AML, KYC policy and CBK prudential guidelines.
• Knowledge of the general banking risks and their mitigation.
• Attention to details and ability to process transactions accurately i.e. getting it right first time.
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and influencing/convincing skills.
• Knowledge of the Bank’s customer segments, product types and alternative service channels.
• World class customer service skills.
• Strong networking and relationship building skills.
• Be Confident and courageous.
