Terms of Service
Two (2) years Contract renewable on satisfactory duty performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform driving duties for the assigned section or unit per the responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies.
- Inspect assigned vehicle(s) on a daily basis to ensure that they are in good working condition.
- Report immediately to the supervisor any vehicle faults noted and coordinate rectification of the same as guided by the supervisor and vehicle repairs and maintenance policy and procedures.
- Ensure that the interior and exterior of the vehicles are always clean from dust, dirt, and that the vehicle tyres and body are always in good condition.
- Maintain a functional standard tool kit, spare tyre, first aid box and fire extinguisher in the appropriate positions.
- Ensure that vehicle insurance policies are always valid and report to the supervisor at least one month in advance for their renewal.
- Liaise with the supervisor and submit completed requisition forms, for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor vehicle mileage for routine and regular service and maintenance and report in good time to ensure that repairs and servicing of vehicles is adequately carried out.
- Collect goods and people in good time and ensure safe delivery to designated places.
- Run other office errands as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain proper work ticket for vehicle usage.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications.
- KCSE grade D+
- Valid Driving License class B, C, E/ Government Trade Test 1 (Mechanics)
- Certificate of good conduct, AA Proficiency added advantage.
- Must be a holder of a valid driving license.
- Must possess a PSV certificate.
- Should possess have a certificate in Electro Mechanical field.
- Certificate of good conduct
- AA Certificate of competency will be an added advantage.
- Three (3) years working experience in the same position – accident free
