REPORTING LINE:REGISTRATION OFFICER WILL REPORT TO SENIOR REGISTRATION OFFICER
JOB PURPOSE
The Registration Officer is responsible for receiving, recording and processing applications for registration and as well as issuance of licenses under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
JOB AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
a) Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
i Advise applicants how to apply and the requirements for various registration categories;
ii. Analyses applications received as guided by the senior registration officer;
iii. Advise prospective applicants on application process in various categories;
iv. Issuing application forms to prospective applicants;
v. Issue Application forms, Receive application forms, very the applications for completeness and responsiveness;
vi. Reviewing and scrutinizing applications for registration against set standards.;
vii. Recording of all the received applications;
viii. Attend to all inquiries on matters relating to status of applications;
ix. Maintain an update register of applications received for registration in registration management information system (MIS);
x. Ensure applications have been put into registration management system;
xi. Sort and file processed applications in readiness for archiving;
xii. Compiles reports on registration of persons;
xiii. Issues certificates and licences for the engineers; and
xiv. Ensure that filing of engineers records is properly done and files sent to the archives for safe custody.
b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-
i. Have Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized university;
ii. Graduate Engineer Registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya and of Good Standing
c) Key Competencies and skills
For consideration to the position, the candidate must demonstrate that they have:
i. Proficiency in IT;
ii. Good Communication skills;
iii. Good Interpersonal skills;
iv. Integrity
TERMS OF SERVICE:
The positions are on Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Service.

CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION
i. Successful candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and will therefore be required to provide the following documents;
· Clearance certificates from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB),
· Valid Tax Compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA),
· Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations ;
· Clearance certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB);
· Clearance from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission.
ii. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
