Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Product Planning and Product Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
• Support development of supplier processes and deployment of best practices.
• Conduct supplier technical evaluation and periodic audits.
• Perform vehicle component validation tests.
• Develop supplier quality control plans.
• Monitor supplier performance and provide performance feedback.
• Maintain supplier quality records.
• Maintain and coordinate calibration of inspection equipment.
For appointment to this position, the successful candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
• BSc. In Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with second class honours. upper division.
• Minimum B plus in KCSE.
• Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in component manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of product quality control. metallurgy and material testing criteria.
• Computer aided design using (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solid works).
• Registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Root cause analysis, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
