About the role
We are an increasingly sophisticated, highly intricate organization with many moving parts and currently seeking a Quality Associate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all product quality checks are being done in the different section on site
- Review adherence to batch tracking, product specifications and GIGO metrics on a DAILY basis and provide guidance to the PQ workmen and factory Assistant managers.
- Provide DAILY updates on blocks and progress towards improvement projects
- Contribute towards troubleshooting observed product quality issues with the support of the crew leads, and Asst. Managers
- Lead implementation of corrective actions. Where actions are tied to different teams, provide follow-up on agreed upon corrective actions until completion
- Develop performance tracking criteria for the all sections & products
- Measure and report on DAILY/WEEKLY performance in the respective areas
- Identify and share opportunities for improvement/ gaps within the product quality docket with the operations team
- Develop systems to structure and analyze product quality data
- Closely work with Operations teams to ensure adherence to quality assurance/control guidelines
- Respond to requests pertaining to the product safety and quality areas quickly and efficiently
- Contribute your point of view towards ensuring continuous improvement
- Work towards conflict resolution esp. between different departments through open and honest

- Work with existing vendors to promote Quality aspects within the site as per internal policies and
- procedures
- Develop tactical and strategic plans (broken into hours, days and weeks) for conducting product quality checks within assigned sections (KP and EG)
- Ensure that the PQ workmen are adhering to their LSW
- Ensure that the shift plans are done on time and communicated to the PQ workmen
- Train the operations team on any new instructions and corrective actions in order to achieve the required results
- Plan and lead execution of any product quality monitoring projects -to achieve the required compliance standards (HACCP,ISO 9001,ISO 22000 etc)
- Actively participate in improvement projects with teams within the different sections on site
- Proactively share new ideas with the manager and support bringing them to fruition
- Propose and implement changes to existing Quality Policies, SOPs, WIs and other relevant documentation
Skills and qualifications you’ll need
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Demonstrable experience of not less than 2 years in the relevant field
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Demonstrable problem solving skills
- Has great analytical skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible
- Communication skills Ability to learn
