The candidate should also be physically fit as the job requires a lot of movement.
Qualifications (Education Skills and Experience)
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine or related area of specialization from a recognized Institution.
2. Must be registered as Clinical Officer with Clinical Officers Council.
3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a comparable position.
4. Must be Computer Literate.
Duties and responsibilities
1. To examine, diagnose and treat patients’ common ailments at the
University health facility.
2. To guide and counsel patients, clients and staff on Health issues.
3. To sensitize patients and clients on preventive health.
4. To carry out minor surgical procedures as per training skill.
5. To collect and compile clinical data.
6. To filter and refer patients and clients to appropriate health facilities.
7. Supervises/oversees junior health workers.
8. Examine, diagnose and treat patients in the University clinics.
9. Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
