Business Analyst
The Position:
Reporting to IT Change Manager, the Business Analyst shall support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs. Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project/initiatives results.
He/she will be responsible for applying a structured methodology in the management of IT Change activities, ensuring all IT Changes are properly logged, documented, analyzed, tracked, reviewed, approved, and deployed in accordance with the related policies.
The analyst works closely with business units, subject matter experts and technical resources to identify business needs, define projects, develop requirements, and manage the development effort to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead requirements analysis, validation, and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task, and workflow analysis, and/or requirements workshops.
• Business requirements documentation.
• Create and Review Technical Architecture Documents for system changes and new systems and solutions.
• Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business value.
• Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and tools.
• Participate and guide on the non-functional tests planning and execution i.e., performance / load tests, security tests and high availability and fail over testing.
• Track entire life cycle for each IT change request from logging to fulfilment and closure i.e., requirements definition, CAB approval, solution design, solution.
The Person:
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field of study from a recognized institution.
• Certification in Project Management or ITIL Foundation.
• 3 years experience in IT Systems with at least 2 years’ experience in IT Projects, Banking Operations, Change Management, Emerging Technologies (channels, mobile and internet banking).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
