Station: Kisumu;
Reporting to: Human Resource Manager
Contract period: 1 year renewable
Job Summary:
The incumbent will assist the Human Resource Manager in planning, coordinating and implementing human capital, administration policies, strategies, systems and processes to maintain good relations between management and staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure new contracts and contract renewals are prepared and presigned by all staff before reporting to the field.
• Assist in managing staff welfare specifically, monitoring WIBA related cases and staff medical scheme.
• Oversee staff orientation and sensitize staff on Human Resource Policy and procedures manual.
• Participate in payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Ensure timely submission of staff timesheets.
• Assist in leave and attendance administration.
• Manage staff performance and participate in annual appraisals.
• Assist in conducting Human Resource Department mini audits and submit preliminary reports.
• Attend at least one monthly sub county staff meeting quarterly
Minimum Qualifications:
• Diploma in Human Resources Management or its equivalent from recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years’ working experience in a similar position, comparable or higher position.
• Must be a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
• Must have sound knowledge of the current labour laws.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, decision making skills and proficiency in computer application packages.
