Job Description
TECHNICAL MANAGER 1 POSITION
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities
i. Directing, coordinating, controlling and managing technical operations and maintenance of infrastructure to ensure that water services are provided to the required standards
ii. Developing customer focus and maintaining good working relations with customers
iii. Managing all construction works either by using external consultants or in – house resources
iv. Ensuring proper management of Company’s assets to maximize the return on investment
v. Developing technical policies and plans for achievement of overall Company objective
vi. Staff development, training and motivation
vii. Perform any other lawful duty as may be assigned from time to time by the managing director
Appointment Specification
Applicants should have the following qualifications
i. Have a Bachelors degree in Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution
ii. Must have served in a comparable position with similar responsibilities in like organizations for a period of five (5) years, 3 years in senior management
iii. Project management skills and hands – on experience managing consultants and contractors
iv. Must be a registered member of the Engineers Board of Kenya or relevant professional body
v. Have a wide experience in water sector
vi. Demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities
vii. Have a high degree of integrity and dependability
viii. Have good interpersonal and communication skills
ix. Must fulfill requirements of chapter six (6) of the Kenyan Constitution
