Type of engagement: 3 Years Contract (terms will change to P&P for exemplary performance after contract period)
Job Purpose:
Overseeing membership growth, assets and liabilities growth and products uptake of the society.
Job Description:
a) Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the Society in line with SACCO objectives.
b) Understanding member needs, business objectives and developing quality products.
c) Ensuring high level customer service and customer satisfaction.
d) Prepare and coordinate implementation of media and public relations plan to create awareness.
e) Lead in membership recruitment and retention.
f) Custody, updating and safekeeping of member records.
g) Undertake sales promotion, establishment of market networks for product/services, technical evaluation of customer needs and complaints.
h) Ensure brand visibility, enhancement and management.
i) Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
j) Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Necessary Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications:
a) A Bachelor of commerce degree in marketing, bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Public Relations or its equivalent from a recognized university.
b) Master’s degree is an added advantage.
c) A member of a professional body (MSK).
Skills and Desired Qualities:
a) Negotiation and selling skills.
b) Good people, interpersonal and networking skills.
c) Business driver and customer driven.
d) Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
Experience:
a) Minimum 5years relevant experience.
b) Has satisfactorily served in a comparable position with similar responsibilities.
