In pursuit of being a Centre of Excellence in Teaching, Research and Community Service, MKU invites applications from suitably qualified, visionary, competent, dynamic and experienced professionals with the following qualifications:
Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or Records Management its equivalent from recognized institution.
2. 3 years’ experience in a comparable position
3. Must be computer literate
Duties and responsibilities
1. Identify the key documents that need to be kept and those that should be safely disposed.
2. Sort and shelf documents.
3. Ensure proper storage and retrieval of records
4. Arrange and describe by date archival materials
5. Selection of records and photographs for permanent preservation
6. Maintenance of the register of documents.
7. Facilitate transfer of documents to archives.
8. Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
