SENIOR ASSISTANT MARKETING & COMMUNICATION OFFICER III, JOB GROUP - KNH 9 (2 POSTS)
Job Purpose
An officer at this level is responsible to the Marketing and Communication Officer in the
provision of Marketing & Communication Service in the Hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Assisting in implementing Marketing & Communication policies and hospital publicity
plans;
ii) Developing original ideas and creative communication products for ongoing and
emerging narratives;
iii) Managing and producing engaging and insightful content for the Hospital on print and
electronic media;
iv) Planning and managing the design, content and production of new marketing
materials;
v) Preparing press releases, media invites and detailed media activity reports;
vi) Understanding customers’ needs and developing plans to address them;
vii) Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints quickly and efficiently;
viii)Spearheading customer and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
a) Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Communication studies, Journalism,
Public Relations or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
b) Membership Registration Certificate with the Public Relations Society of Kenya
(PRSK), Marketing Society of Kenya or any other relevant professional body.
c) Proficiency in Computer Applications.
d) Valid practicing license from a relevant registration body.
