KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enter data into the MoH and program reporting platforms including the KHIS, national data warehouse, and all the paper-based and electronic HIS while assuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness in data and all the reports
• Operationalize the EMR, ensure accuracy, completeness and timelines in updating of data while guaranteeing data reliability and 100% data concordance with multiple data sources
• Carry out data validation checks to ensure that the facility-based data meets all data quality rules and the status is reflective of the facility performance
• Perform data quality checks on regular schedule and ensure complete and accurate facility status report is uploaded and reflected in the KHIS and the national data warehouse
• Conduct basic data analysis and generate routine (monthly and quarterly) data synthesis reports for sharing with MOH/ SCHMT and Program and presentation during the scheduled DDIU clinics
• Participate in identifying training needs and capacity building for health care providers around M&E, indicator understanding and PEPFAR MER expectations
• Provide support for data collection, analysis, dissemination and use among health care providers by running customized reports and dashboards [including Talking Walls]
• Participate in routine Data Quality Assessments (DQA) and maintain a dashboard to demonstrate progress over time and feedback to program and facility teams
• Assure data integrity, identify and immediately notify the M&E Officer of any issues with incorrect or questionable data
• Participate in the facility scheduled routine strategic information activities and performance reviews
• Ensure that appropriate reporting tools are available and in the right version within all the service delivery points and maintain a clear, updated reporting tools’ inventory to minimize on stock-out
• Work together with the Project SI team to provide regular feedback on facility achievements against targets
• Institute data security and patient-level data confidentiality mechanisms while ensuring observance to the SOP and the required guidelines
• Ensure full observance to the monthly reporting calendar
• Perform other program related duties as required by the supervisor from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma in Health Records Management, Information Technology.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience preferably in the health sector.
• Solid experience in DQA and data management in the health sector.
• Knowledge of Standards and Guidelines for EMR systems and other digital HIS in Kenya.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
