JOB TITLE: MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER
REPORTING: MANAGING DIRECTOR
GENERAL PURPOSE
To design and manage systems for data collection, monitoring, evaluation, reporting
and knowledge management in liaison with the projects/programmes key
stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support the development and roll out of Tavevo’s knowledge management
strategy, including development and dissemination of materials.
2. Set up and maintain the Monitoring and Evaluation system.
3. Ensure high data quality through regular quality control reviews, facilitate and
ensure collection of high-quality data.
4. Establish and operationalize strategies to streamline the M&E process and
increase efficiency in gathering and using performance information and help
implement the same.
5. Support projects/programmes implementation monitoring and evaluation to
develop activity indicators and targets (and or review targets regularly) and
gather quantitative and qualitative data related to those indicators and targets.
6. Work with key stakeholder projects/programme implementation monitoring
and evaluation focal point persons to develop appropriate Monitoring and
Evaluation plans for each activity during projects/programmes
implementation.
7. Conduct participatory Monitoring and Evaluation field activities to measure
qualitative as well as quantitative impacts.
8. Provide leadership into design, implementation and dissemination of
evaluations, studies, and assessments.
9. Support projects/programmes partners with data analysis, reporting and
presentation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hock reports.
10.Conduct Monitoring and Evaluation training to key organizations stakeholder.
QUALIFICATION
i. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics or its equivalent qualification
from a recognized university.
ii. Prior Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years progressive
professional experience in projects/programme monitoring and evaluation
role in a county/national/international organization especially in the design
and or management of development (multilateral) partner funded
projects/programmes
iii. Demonstrated experience in conducting and participating in baseline, mid-
term and end line assessments, specialized studies and impact evaluations
for multiple partners financed and managed development
projects/programmes
iv. Familiarity with developing monitoring and evaluation indicators and plans
v. Strong written and verbal communication in English and Kiswahili
