MANAGER, INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY-KMC3 (1 POST)
Job purpose
Reporting to the Managing Commissioner, the successful candidate will be responsible for development, implementation, review of policies, strategies, regulations and procedures on Information Communication Technology.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Providing professional and technical guidance to drive the implementation of ICT policies and plans in operations and business processes.
• Developing and implementing an ICT strategy and security policy.
• Overseeing the security and integrity of ICT systems.
• Leading the innovation and development of new ICT systems and solutions.
• Coordinating the maintenance of both hardware and software for operational efficiency.
• Ensuring compliance with ICT regulatory requirements and relevant national and international standards.
• Planning and budgeting for organization-wide ICT infrastructure and services.
• Formulating and implementing a prudent ICT risk management strategy.
• Overseeing the implementation of ISO Quality Management System in the Department
• Preparing board papers on ICT matters.
• Providing leadership and effective supervision to staff in the department.
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology or related disciplines from a recognized university.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology or related disciplines from a recognized university.
• Professional ICT qualification from a reputable professional body and a member in good standing of a relevant professional body.
• Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Served in the grade of Assistant Manager or in a comparable and relevant position of which must have been at a senior management level
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
• Demonstrated professional, managerial and administrative competence as reflected in work performance and results; and
• Exhibited a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, objectives and ability to relate them to proper management of the ICT function.
