Salary Scale Kshs. 91,693 - 169,969 p.m.
House Allowance Kshs. 45,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance Kshs. 16,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance As existing in the Civil Service
Medical Cover As provided by the Secretariat
Terms of Service Four (4) Years Contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance
Job Purpose
The jobholder is required to multitask across a range of responsibilities including transport management, office maintenance, safeguarding of office equipment and assets to facilitate the day to day operations of the Huduma Kenya Service Delivery Programme to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
1. Served for a minimum period of six (6) years in the public or private sector;
2. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Social Science, Public Sector Management, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
3. Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution;
4. Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
5. Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and a thorough understanding of national goals, policies and Kenya Vision 2030 and ability to align them to the Secretariat’s mandate.
Key Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
1. Identifying and recommending proper accommodation of staff within the organization;
2. Facilitating location and movement of equipment; ensuring office machines are serviced; implementing administration policies;
3. Providing cross-functional liaison for administrative matters;
4. Coordinating renewal of insurance policies/visas/Transport Licensing Board certificates;
5. Monitoring location of equipment; making proposals for rental management; safeguarding Huduma Kenya assets; and
6. Overseeing cleaning of offices and compound.
