V/NO. 6/2021: ENVIRONMENT OFFICER JOB GROUP ‘K’ (3 POSTS)
Duties and responsibilities:-
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
a) implementing county environmental management plans;
b) participating in environmental audits and following up implementation of the
recommendations;
c) maintaining register on compliance to environmental legislation, propose corrective
actions and follow up on implementation;
d) complying with occupational health and safety programs;
e) coordinate environmental education and education;
f) carry out environmental inspection and promoting environmental quality; and
g) complying with the county’s environment management policy.
Requirements for appointment:-
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
(i) Be a Kenyan citizen;
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(iii) Membership to Environmental Institute of Kenya or relevant professional body; and
(iv) Certificate in computer application skills.
