This is the entry and training grade for Diploma holders. An officer at this level will work under the
guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
i. Planning of office accommodation and layout
ii. Facilitating transport and travelling services
iii. Maintaining and updating furniture and office equipment inventory
iv. Ensuring payment of utility bills
v. Facilitating movement assets
vi. Facilitating general maintenance of building and furniture and
vii. Facilitating logistics for meeting conference and other special events.
viii. Collecting and collating data on developmental activities and
ix. Providing input in organizing public participation awareness at the local level
x. Perform any bother duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirement for Appointment
i. Diploma in any of the following discipline; Public Administration, Business Administration
/Management, Community Development or any other related field from recognized
institution;
ii. be a Kenyan citizen and a resident of the respective village by birth;
iii. satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution (on leadership and integrity);
iv. have knowledge of certain key areas (for example, knowledge of devolution, and familiarity
with the county, its policies and its administrative structure);
v. use of technology such as computer literacy;
vi. strong organizational skills;
vii. responsible attitude and ability to work on own initiatives;
viii. excellent oral and written communication and interact professionally with clients and
associates;
ix. proficiency in using standard office equipment; and
x. sound judgement and ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction.
