PROJECT (MOOT) DESK OFFICER
Role Purpose:
Kenya Scouts Association will host the first ever Africa Rover moot in 2023. We are
looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide all technical and
administrative assistance to the Moot Secretariat and will report to the Moot Executive
Officer.
Tasks will include;
1. Online communication and correspondence with NSOs regarding the Moot
through email and Social Media, including handling all related enquiries
2. Providing administrative support to the Moot Office
3. Plans and Prepares for Sub-Committee Meetings
4. Labels and files all files for the Moot Organizing Committee and the Subcommittees
5. Stores, Records and Takes account of all assets for the Moot
6. Responsible for general correspondence about the Moot to the Moot visitors
7. Works Closely with the Moot Secretariat to plan and execute all Moot related
events and programmes
8. Follows up with internal stakeholders including for all Moot related meetings and
events
9. Custodian of the Moot Office including planning for key requirements including
space, stationery.
10. Travel Booking and Hospitality planning for all Moot International visitors
Qualification
- Diploma in Communications, Administration, or related field
- Scouting background
- Good communications skills
- An understanding of how Social Media works
- Ability to work creatively in a busy environment on several projects
simultaneously
- Able to work independently in carrying out assigned tasks
- Attention to detail
