GENERAL MANAGER, CORPORATE SERVICES – JOB REF: MN 8276 Full Time
Our client is a leading textile manufacturing company in the East African region. They wish to recruit a General Manager, Corporate Services.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The General Manager – Corporate Services will be reporting to the Managing Director (Chief Executive Officer) and is expected to provide strategic leadership and management of the Corporate Services Department to ensure sustainability and achievement of the Company’s objectives.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in the preparation of Strategic plans, business plans & financing proposals;
• Provide technical guidance, responsible advice and counsel on matters Finance, Human Resources, Administration, Security, ICT, Sales and Marketing, Strategy and Planning;
• Enacting financial controls to ensure prudence, discipline & accountability in financial management planning and budgeting in compliance with set legal guidelines.
• Fostering a culture that promotes team capability & reflects values that facilitate performance, professionalism and innovation.
• Co-ordinating the establishment & maintenance of the Company’s Information management systems.
• Ensuring adequate financial resources, human resources & assets necessary for the delivery of services.
• Prepare Board, Management and Statutory reports;
• Co-ordinate recruitment, deployment, remuneration, staff performance, development and discipline of human resources;
• Management of assets and services to support each core functions in administration/logistics requirements to facilitate service delivery;
• Co-ordinate information exchange with all stakeholders and the public to ensure customer expectations are met;
PERSON PROFILE
Academic Qualifications and Experience
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business related field such as (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration,
• Human Resource Management/Development, Computer Science, Public Administration etc.) or any other equivalent from a recognized University.
• A Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource; will be an added advantage.
• Management/Development, Computer Science, Public Administration or any other equivalent from a recognized University.
• Must have at least ten (10) years cumulative work experience, five (5) of which should have been at Managerial level in a reputable organization.
• Certificate in leadership course not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
• Must be a member of a professional body and in good standing.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
