POSITION OVERVIEW
An Account Executive will act as the central point of contacts for all brand questions, creating a positive and proactive relationship between the Client and Agency team. As an Account Executive you will be responsible for all administrative aspects of the account, developing a reputation for efficiency and total reliability.
Knowledge Areas:
• Basic knowledge of clients’ business
• Industry survey around clients assigned
• Monitors status of projects, keeping everyone informed and producing status reports
• Responsible for keeping teams supplied with any information or stimulus about the brand or market that maybe useful in the development process

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Task Areas
• Source of all industry brand, competitor and consumer information
• Regularly monitors and analyses competitive communication advertising and competitive product activity
• Gain an understanding of qualitative and quantitative research and can assist in developing relevant research stimulus materials
• Supports Account Manager/Director in the control of the communication process: manages central filing, estimates, timing plans, deadlines, Client and internal meetings etc
• Effective organization of meetings, diaries, presentation materials and refreshments
• Records all client meetings, key conversations and decisions in contact reports and distribute them within 24 hours
• Listen carefully to client requests, report them accurately and action them expediently
• Check that all client approvals are sought and given prior to commencement of any work
• Has an excellent eye for detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of all materials prior to presentation either internally or externally
• Performs day-to-day account work which may include: drafting a wide range of written materials, coordinating events, maintaining client and media contact, managing projects performed with and by others and supervising interns
• Is fully familiar with Company’s communications plans for accounts and understands and tracks clients’ businesses
• Engage in project beyond area of specialty
• Media relations: Build a database of journalists for projects engagement
• Content development: Quality press releases, Opeds, Speeches, articles, media invites and other collateral
• Any other lawfully assigned duties
Project Management
• Supports achievement of, the company’s vision and exemplifies the company’s mission
• Demonstrates initiative in identifying and proposing enhanced ways to advance team, group, agency and client interests
Client Management
• Liaising between client, outside suppliers and other internal and external contacts
• Create and develop a positive and professional relationship with your client and other relevant contacts
• Represents/merchandises the client’s business within the agency
• Regularly seeks our ways to add value to the client/agency relationship
Commercial Management
• Develops an expert understanding of the Agency’s financial systems, taking specific financial responsibility as delegated by the Account Manager/Account Director
• Liaise with Traffic and Production to ensure that creative work, cost estimates and production remain within the timing plan so that work is delivered on budget and on time
• Is responsible for ensuring that all estimates are presented and approved by client expediently and that no work commences without this approval
Talent Management and Relationship building
• Demonstrates value to clients and colleagues on programs that build rapport
• Responsible for effective team communication, both written and verbal, ensuring all team members and clients receive contact reports, briefs, market information, timing schedules, minutes etc.
• Develop teams through coaching and mentoring
• Delegate effectively
• Form strong and enduring relationships with all team members
• Motivate other members of the project team during difficult times, absorbing their anxieties and keep the project moving forward
Commercial Management
• Responsible for budget control for projects
• Ensures that all work in progress can be reconciled and billed
• Ensures that all invoices are issued quickly and correctly and that reconciliation meetings are held with Client as appropriate
• Ensures work is produced on time and within budget
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication & Marketing or any other related field
• At least two (2) years’ work experience working in a busy office environment, preferably within the marketing/ communications industry
• Analytical, creative and have a genuine interest in consumers and brands
• Experience of working across several projects simultaneously, juggling the day to day work in order to meet client deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PPT
• Experience of presenting and influencing clients
