Madison Group Limited wishes to recruit for a Business Analyst – Finance. The Group operates through two insurance subsidiaries in life and general businesses and an investment management subsidiary, all based at the Group Headquarters in Upper Hill, Madison House, Nairobi. The jobholder will report to the Group Financial Controller and will be based at the head office in Madison House at Upperhill, Nairobi.
Group Business Analyst
The primary responsibility is to support the Group Financial Controller in providing management with information relevant to aid decision making for Madison Group and its subsidiaries. In addition, the function is also responsible for the periodic reporting as required by the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Group Financial Controller with daily tasks, follow up and monitoring
• of important matters and project management.
• Undertake detailed research and analysis to assist in management decisions.
• Applying business acumen to develop feasible data-based recommendations that will address organizational problems;
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets,
• To support the business units, perform financial analysis, report findings to assist in the financial decisions.
• Apply finance knowledge to effectively diagnose situations and/or help provide solutions.
• Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.
• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the organizations actual performance compared to the business plans.
• Build models that are sophisticated, robust, and easily interpreted to inform insights.
• Research and conduct analysis to compile key deal documents to support the business in decision making.
• Assist with preparation and review of Board Packs.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics or
• another related field.
• Requires in-depth knowledge in Planner, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
• and Financial Modeling
• 1-3 years of relevant technical and business experience
• CPA/ACCA is an added advantage
• Experience working with diverse teams
• Ability to work proactively within a demanding environment.
