PART-TIME TUTORS
Overall purpose of the role:
The Tutors will be required to teach CBET Curricular and examine students taking Diploma courses in compliance with the University rules and regulations. Applications are invited in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities:
a) Teaching in the curriculum area as directed by the Head of Curriculum Area.
b) Responding to new curriculum issues affecting programme delivery and student learning/training activities.
c) Reviewing teaching inputs regularly in the context of changing needs of students and programmes.
d) Preparing and assembling suitable teaching materials and learning resources for the delivery of all courses/classes designated.
e) Using and evaluating teaching techniques/methods appropriate to learner groups.
f) Developing schemes of work, lesson plans and give lecture notes.
g) Preparing internal examinations and carrying out continuous assessment.
h) Supervising and assessing trainee(s) in the course area.
i) Preparing trainees for external examinations by providing practical technical skills as required for effective competency acquisition.
j) Carrying out examination and competence based assessment.
k) Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
l) Verification of P.O.Es.
m) Marking of Mentoring tools.
Qualifications and Experience
a) Bachelor of Science in the relevant area or;
b) Bachelor of Technology in the relevant area or;
c) Relevant Bachelor of Education in Technology
Conditions
Contract: 4 months Temporal Contract
Availability: September 2023
Duty station: These positions are based in Main Campus, Nchiru, Meru Town Campus and Marimba Learning Centre
