DIRECTOR MUNICIPAL PARTNERSHIPS AND CO-ORDINATION,
JOB GROUP CPSB 03 (R) – (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordination, supervision and promotion of economic ties with
development partners including but not limited to the Private Sector,
National Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and
Non-State Actors, Faith-based Organizations and other Non-Governmental
Organizations.
• Initiate and oversee development of policies, procedures, regulations,
guidelines, and strategies for resource mobilization and partnership
development in Urban areas;
• Advise the department heads on Urban Management on all partnership
and resource mobilization issues for Urban areas;
• Ensure implementation, coordination and review of resource mobilization
and marketing policies, strategies, and programmes in the Municipalities;
• Coordinate implementation of innovative fundraising and identify new
opportunities in the Municipalities;
• Initiate partnership dialogue with bilateral partners and international
financial Institutions;
• Coordination of development of policies and legal framework for
mobilization and coordination of external resources for Urban areas
• Tracking and reporting on implementation of partner funded programmes
and projects across the sectors including Public Private Partnerships (PPPs),
Donations & Grants as well as other market financial instruments.
• Management and coordination of Project appraisal for investment
decisions in urban areas.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
• Is a Kenyan Citizen
• Be in possession of Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Statistics or their
equivalent recognized qualifications.
• A Masters qualification in Economics or Statistics of or a Masters of Arts (MA),
Masters of Science (MSc) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) level or their
equivalent recognized qualifications.
• Must have experience in donor funded projects for at least five (5) years.
• Post graduate qualification in Urban management course or any other
relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong leadership qualities, broad knowledge of operations of County
Governments and urban administration.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge file management and other administrative procedures.
• Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Terms of Service: Contract
Salary: As set by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
