Our client is a Start-up in the ISP space in Kenya looking to hire a Business Development Manager. This role will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the startup in a dynamic internet and technology solutions industry in Kenya. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, fostering business relationships to propel the company’s success as well as team development management.
Responsibilities
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes across Kenya.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and market penetration.
• Identify and target potential clients and markets for our internet and technology solutions.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, including lead generation, qualification, and closing deals.
• Develop a team, lead and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
• Build and nurture strong, long-term client relationships.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and delivering tailored solutions.
• Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and engage potential strategic partners, including technology providers, distributors, and resellers.
• Negotiate and establish partnerships to enhance the company’s offerings and reach.
• Maintain a deep understanding of our internet and technology solutions portfolio.
• Effectively communicate the value propositions and benefits of our products to clients and partners.
• Develop marketing materials, campaigns, and promotional strategies.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to raise brand awareness.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, customer support, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor and report on sales performance, key metrics, and market trends.
• Provide input for sales forecasts, budget planning, and business reviews.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Network Technology or Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have 5+ proven years of experience as a Business Development Manager in an ISP Industry.
• At least 3 years of in-depth managerial experience in Business development/ Business growth.
• Strong understanding of ISP and network products, services and solutions.
