Brief Background of the organization
Nairobi Club is a private members’ Club, owned by its Members. It was established in 1901 by Members who realized the need for a home environment in the heart of Nairobi. The Club is the second oldest and most popular establishment of its kind in Kenya.
We are situated at the fast-growing Upper Hill region north of the Central Business District – (CBD). It is an easy 5-minute drive from the City Centre to the heart of Kenya’s premier Club.
Purpose of the job
We are seeking to recruit a professional Marketing Officer with the ability to develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to attract and retain Club members, drive attendance to Club events and promote the Club’s brand.
Key performance areas for the role are:
• Lead the marketing function and identify, analyse, and implement new business growth opportunities.
• Development and refinement of the Club’s marketing vision and strategy in line with the strategic plan.
• Conduct market intelligence exercises to benchmark the Club’s services/products against competitors.
• Implement marketing, advertising and promotional tasks and carry out effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the Club.
• Generate and implement new product development plan including revamping Branded Club merchandise and souvenirs.
• Develop complete understanding of the factors that go into the revenue, provide recommendations to maximise revenue.
• Ensure communication of weekly events to members.
• Ensure quality and content of quarterly newsletter is consistent, exciting and engaging.
• Provide feedback into product development and service offers and participate in their development; collaborate to create, launch and track performance of product and service offerings in the Club.
Qualifications
• Diploma (minimum) in Business, Marketing/ Communication option preferred.
• Professional marketing and or sales qualification such as CIM is an added advantage.
• Computer literate with good understanding of technologies that can be used in marketing.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical ability in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment; able to define problems, collect relevant data, extract meaning and draw valid conclusions.
• Proven ability to work as part of management team to develop and implement strategy.
• Practical experience in the application of digital marketing and social media as part of integrated marketing campaigns.
• Experience in managing budgets effectively and financial reporting.
Experience:
• Over three (3) years marketing experience.
• Experience in a Club environment will be an added advantage
