Job description
We are looking to appoint an experienced Finance and Operations Manager to lead financial, procurement and operational planning and execution for existing programmes and new business development.
The successful candidate will support the Country Director to ensure robust management systems and Standard Operating Procedures are in place and implemented across LSTM’s Kenya office, within finance, programme and office management.
Proven professional and progressively responsible experience in finance and operations management in a multinational or nongovernmental organization will be essential. Working within a complex international environment, you will be responsible for the collation of the annual budget and forecasting to accommodate both statutory and programmatic reporting periods on an accurate and timely basis. You will possess a University degree in any business related subjects, but preferably Accounting or Business Administration. It is essential that you already possess a professional accounting qualification such as: CPA (K), ACCA or ACA and can demonstrate proven experience in a professional accountancy-based role in a multi-national, or non-governmental organization.
Experience of effective staff management is an essential requirement of the role, as you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the LSTM Kenya office ensuring quality service to all teams and customers. Exceptional work prioritization and organizational skills are essential as is a working knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software and Microsoft Applications. You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills to develop effective working relationships both internally and externally as you will be communicating and advising a variety of different people on finance related issues. You will also be required to provide guidance and training to the LSTM Kenya programme staff on budgetary and financial policies and procedures (for a full list of responsibilities please refer to the job description).
