QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.90,200.00-124,630.00 (CPSB 05)
House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 12,000.00 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)
Requirements for appointment:-
i. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
ii. Technical knowledge and skills in computer programming, information systems and information systems security;
iii. Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than six (6) years and has at least three (3) years’ experience at management level;
iv. Membership to a relevant professional body; and
v. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Promote infrastructure, and secure networks within County Government;
ii. Implement county ICT strategy, standards and guidelines;
iii. Oversee Installation and configuration of Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;
iv. Develop, implement, review, evaluate and report on the organization’s ICT strategic, business and operating plans and associated projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic directions of the organization;
v. Carry out systems analysis, design and program specifications in liaison with users of the specific sectors;
vi. Oversee the process of configuration repair and maintenance of information communication technology equipment and associated peripherals;
vii. Drawing up hardware specifications for information Communication Technology equipment;
viii. Verify, validate and certify of information technology equipment;
ix. Oversee the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of ICT systems and operations in the county.
x. Implementation of county/ national ICT policy , and e-Government master plans;
xi. Manage ICT centers, innovation hubs and other related installations throughout the county; and
xii. Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
