QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 90,200.00 -124,630.00 (CPSB 05)
House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 12,000.00 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars.
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)

Requirements for appointment:-
i. Bachelor’s degree in Education , Arts or Science from a recognized institution and a post graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
ii. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: education, arts, Project Planning & Management, Education Communication and Technology, science, or business administration in a management related field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
iii. Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than six (6) years and has at least three (3) years’ experience at management level;
iv. Proficiency in computer applications; and
v. Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and administrative capability.

Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Prepare education proposal for funding;
ii. Implement education policies;
iii. Evaluate education programmes;
iv. Manage funds allocated to education programmes;
v. Implement education curriculum;
vi. Oversee auditing of financial resources in educational institution;
vii. Carry out research on indigenous languages and all forms of national and cultural expressions;
viii. Implement capacity building programmes for education managers, committees and boards;
ix. Coordinate nominations of education management;
x. Implement ICT integration programmes in education;
xi. Harness creativity and innovation, mobilizing resources;
xii. Manage education data;
xiii. Monitor quality and standards of Education; and
xiv. Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
