Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Drive Bank’s passengers and any other authorized passengers to approved destinations in a safe and timely manner.
2. Execute daily work instructions in accordance with the work schedules in the Transport Office.
3. Ensure compliance with the CBK transport operating procedures, traffic laws and regulations.
4. Deliver vehicles for scheduled and ad-hoc repairs and maintenance at the Bank’s appointed garages and arrange collection upon completion of the job.
5. Prompt reporting of accidents and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
6. Daily vehicle inspections and prompt reporting of any malfunction or defects that need attention to the immediate supervisor.
7. Punctuality in reporting to work on time and maintaining general cleanliness of vehicles assigned.
8. Ability to maintain and care for vehicle work ticket(s) for vehicle(s) assigned.
9. Maintenance of good working relationships with internal and external and external clients.
10. Ensure security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and/or goods therein.
11. Ensure assigned work assignments are complete and maybe required from time to time to work past working hours/weekends to ensure task completion.
12. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (minus) and above.
2. Occupational Test Grade certificate III for vehicle mechanics.
3. Valid driving license for the following vehicle categories B, C1, D1, D2 & D3. Possession of a license to operate categories G vehicles will be a significant advantage.
5. Qualification in computer application from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
6. A First Aid Certificate Certification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
Work Experience
1. At least five (5) years’ verifiable continuous driving experience in a busy environment.
2. Experience in defensive driving.
3. Experience in motor vehicle mechanics and ability to diagnose vehicle defects and coordinate motor vehicle repairs will be an added advantage.
4. Good computer skills with the ability to operate fleet Management system and can take up the fleet coordinator duties as and when required.
5. Clean driving record without accidents in the “Serious’, “Major” or “Catastrophic” accident as per CBK classification in the last three years.
